Formats

Interleaved bilingualRepeated source and translation blocks.
Translation onlyHide the original image/source and focus on English or target language.

Study transliterationSource, visible transliteration, and translation for language learning.

Word Lens

Tap source words for context.

Word Lens explains the selected word inside its sentence. It can show the original word with nikud, unvowelized form, transliteration, likely meaning, grammar notes, the translated paragraph, and the lookup source.

  • Local glossary, transliteration, pronunciation, and memory lookups appear first.
  • Optional AI context is for deeper explanation and does not change the translation automatically.
  • Use Add to glossary, Save transliteration, or Save pronunciation only when you want the note reused later.

TTS

Read aloud with curated voices.

  • System voices use native platform engines.
  • Edge/Microsoft-style voices are experimental where available.
  • Local AI voices require downloads and device support.
  • Use the pronunciation dictionary so English voices say common Chassidic terms more naturally.
  • Enable Show all voices only if you need a voice hidden from the curated list.

Nikud

Nikud is preserved, not invented.

The app can show source text with or without nikud when nikud exists in OCR/provider output. It should not synthesize vowels for an unvowelized source.

If only some paragraphs show nikud, use the nikud indicator and consider re-running OCR or translation with a better source image.
