Corpus
Corpus library.
Use this guide when browsing mirrored Torah libraries such as Mafteiach and Chabad Library before importing a PDF for translation.
Browse
Use categories before search.
The corpus is too large for a flat list. Start from collection, category path, year, parsha, volume, or document type where available, then narrow with search.
- Use Hebrew category labels as the source of truth when they come from the original corpus.
- Use search for title words, parsha, year, route, or known document markers.
- Use category breadcrumbs to keep track of where you are.
- Do not assume a PDF title alone identifies the whole work; preview first.
Preview
Preview before importing.
- Open Preview from an asset card.
- Use full-screen preview when thumbnails are too small.
- Inspect page count and confirm the document is the one you want.
- Select a range, first 15, visible pages, or full PDF when intentionally enabled.
Catalog
Local, cloud, and missing catalogs
Cloud catalog readyThe app can browse published catalog metadata and download/cache PDFs for preview.
Local mirror readymacOS or development builds can browse mirrored files directly when configured.
Catalog not syncedSync the mirror or publish the compact catalog before mobile devices can browse it.
Corpus PDFs are cached/downloaded assets. They are not backed up as user project data unless imported into a project.
Import
Import creates project pages.
After you import selected pages, the app should land on the project screen. From there, use Translate whole project rather than translating only page 1.
